About

Sofia Moore is a multidisciplinary artist working across sound, image, and moving film. Her practice sits at the intersection of the seen and unseen—exploring the subtle energies that move through electromagnetic fields, memory, and perception.

Sofia Moore is a multidisciplinary artist working across sound, image, and moving film. Her practice sits at the intersection of the seen and unseen—exploring the subtle energies that move through electromagnetic fields, memory, and perception.

Working under The Faun’s Wife, she creates music drawn from the depths of the unconscious, composing with layered instrumentation, field recordings, and self-produced sound. Her process is intuitive yet deliberate, blending raw emotional signal with technical control through production and mastering. Collaboration remains central to her work, often involving other musicians as extensions of a shared sonic landscape.

Sofia also operates through the distinct artistic identities of Sofie Redfern and Aden Rhys—each acting as a vessel for different modes of inquiry, from material-based fine art to conceptual and language-driven practice.

Her wider experience includes photography, videography, and directing actors for short film, all of which inform her sensitivity to atmosphere, framing, and narrative tension.

Based in Sheffield, her practice is grounded in regular foraging and immersion in the natural environment. These rituals inform both her material choices and her perception of presence—an ongoing dialogue between human awareness and the forces that exist just beyond it.

Sofia Moore’s work does not seek to explain, but to reveal—offering glimpses of what is felt before it is understood.
